Senior Outreach / Administration – London / Paris

There two openings, one in the London office by St Paul’s Cathedral, and another in central Paris office.  The candidate for London should have perfect written, spoken and conversational English, with preferably some knowledge of French.  For Paris, he /she should have perfect written, spoken and conversational French, with English skills almost at the same level.  Candidates should be good networkers and, acting alone, able to credibly represent the foundation at conferences and meetings with important people.

The principal tasks would involve helping establish partnerships with UK and European companies and government agencies; applying for grants and loans; soliciting support from individuals, companies and nonprofits.  Such support could be in the form of advice on management, manufacturing or financial issues, as well as sponsorship, donations, or the provision of investment loans.

In addition, candidates would administer a small office growing to about seven people; keeping basic financial records; monitoring and responding to government forms; maintaining efficient electronic and paper filing systems.  They should have clear and engaging telephone manner; a good knowledge of office computing software; a level of comfort with science and engineering matters; the ability to deal with well-known people in a natural manner, as equals.  Some travel within Europe may be involved.
